Nurburgring and Hockenheim alternate the hosting of the race - and next years race at Hocknheim is in doubt as local and state authorities have pulled funding. It would appear that Nurburgring are reluctant to step in for next year unless the race hosting fee is reduced.

Autosport report that talks between the Baden-Wurttemberg prime minister Gunther Oettinger and Bernie Ecclestone, scheduled for last weekend’s German Grand Prix, did not take place following the controversy over Ecclestone’s comments about Adolf Hitler.

Just think it was not so long ago with the Schumi factor and stronger economic climate - that the German GP looked to be carved in stone on the GP calendar.
