PETERBOROUGH owner Rick Frost has hailed the huge success of the club's staging of Monday's World Cup meeting at the Showground.A crowd of over 5,000 packed in for the event, which was won by Poland, and enjoyed some of the best racing of the season.Frost said: "Seeing such great racing has definitely put Peterborough back on the speedway map. I am delighted with how it went."

EDINBURGH skipper Matthew Wethers is expecting to be fit for two important Monarchs fixtures this weekend.Wethers fell heavily in his second ride of the victory at Newport lastSunday, and pulled out later in the meeting.He said: "I have only had a quick look at my bikes, I haven't really felt upto it yet - I have a really stiff neck."
