Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt has said he will stand for the presidency of motorsport's governing body, the FIA, and has been endorsed by current president Max Mosley.
Todt will stand against Finnish former world rally champion Ari Vatanen, who confirmed his intention to stand as Mosley's potential successor last week.
"It is my intention to continue and expand the outstanding work of President Mosley," said Todt
"I am confident that together we will offer the FIA the opportunity to elect a dynamic leadership team of outstanding experience and commitment."
