Ahead Of Huff as cruzes conquer front row - Larini (7th), well placed for Race 2
It was a perfect day for the Chevrolet Cruzes in Brands Hatch, as Alain Menu and Rob Huff ended today’s qualifying in the top two positions, thus ensuring a completely blue front row for tomorrow’s first race. Nicola Larini was 7th, a position which is very interesting with regard to race 2. This is the second pole for the new Cruze (after the one obtained by Huff in Marrakech), and most of all, is the first pole that the Cruze conquers on a traditional track, confirming the excellent progress made since its racing debut.
Against all expectations, the day was dry in Brands Hatch and granted excellent conditions since the morning’s free practice sessions. The Cruzes were very competitive throughout the day and each one of the Chevrolet drivers set the fastest time at some point of Q1. In Q2, the Cruzes dominated the decisive final laps, first with Rob and then with Alain, whose last lap granted him the pole position.
