Video of Monster Tajima's run
The old master at 59 years old puts in a great run to set fastest time on this years Pikes Peak Hillclimb - for the 4th consecutive time.
The 10 minute barrier was not breached - but conditions were tricky with loose gravel on the dirt sections and wet slippery tarmac at the bottom of the hill.
Ford's much hyped campaign was not as successful as they had hoped - Gronholm's turbo let go 5km from the top of the hill - and Eriksson rolled his Fiesta on race day - for the 2nd time during the week.
Our plucky effort from the UK by Mach One Racing in the RS200 was plagued by mechanical dramas - and Mark Rennison was off the pace.
The top video shows Monster on his run and the videos below show the diversity of amchines which tackle the hill - some of the guys are clearly barking...great stuff!
