Charles Bateman will rejoin the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup GB for the next four races at Snetterton (1/2 August) and Knockhill (15/16 August), with support from Pilgrim Foodservice.Bateman (22) will return with Team Parker Racing, the team that ran him first in Caterhams and then in the Carrera Cup GB in 2007 and 2008. He finished eighth overall each time, with a best result of third overall at Thruxton. At Snetterton last year he qualified second fastest overall to Sam Hancock. "I'm looking forward to getting back into the Carrera Cup especially as the competition this year seems to be at its best yet," said Bateman. "I'd like to continue my form from Snetterton last year but I haven't been in the car for over eight months so I'm sure I will have to get back into it quickly."
Bateman started racing in the Caterham Academy in 2004, before finishing tenth in the 2005 Caterham Roadsports Championship. He joined Team Parker Racing in 2006, finishing fourth in the UK Superlight Championship and sixth in the Caterham Eurocup, and then stepped up to the Carrera Cup in 2007
