 BELLE Vue captain Charlie Gjedde has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.Gjedde needs an operation to mend a detatched tendon, which he will have as soon as possible in order to be fit for 2010.Aces boss Chris Morton said: "Charlie had tried to ride with the injury but it had got to the point where he was struggling to handle his bike properly."

COVENTRY staged a dramatic late come back to edge out Poole at Brandon and maintain their play-off chase.The Bees trailed by seven points with four races to go, but won 46-43 with Edward Kennett the last heat hero as he defeated Hans Andersen.Co-boss Peter Oakes said: "It just shows the character of the team. It's been a good week for us with results going for us at other tracks too."
