MCL Motorhomes MSA British Hillclimb Championship

Rounds 23 & 24: Wiscombe Park, near Honiton, July 26th

Trevor Willis was the winner of round 23 having dominated practice on Saturday and again early on Sunday morning.

Scott Moran’s round 23 second place two ahead of Martin Groves put him two points ahead in the overall championship standings but neither they or Willis scored again as heavy rain fell in the middle of round 24 qualification. Four of the round 23 top five failed to qualify in the downpour that left early runners with the advantage.

Roger Moran used all his experience to tame his excess of power for round 24 victory in the atrocious conditions.

1.6 litre front runner Eynon Price continued his great season with a best ever score and a move up to eighth in the championship table.
