Round 2: Pembrey, 15-16 May
James O’Reilly and Jason Dredge shared the spoils in round two of the MSA British Superkart Championship at Pembrey, though it was Martin Jones who left atop the championship standings following a pair of runner-up finishes. Reigning champion O’Reilly took first blood with victory in race one ahead of Jones and 2008 title-winner Dredge, with Sam Moss fighting from the back of the 29-strong field to fourth place at the checkered flag.Dredge headed the pack at the start of a wet second race but was soon relieved of the lead by O’Reilly. However, a broken spark plug soon spelled the end for the latter and allowed Dredge to claim the win ahead of Jones, who emerged victorious from a fierce battle with Malcolm Clark. Results - race one1 James O'Reilly – 10m29.228s 2 Martin Jones +0.938s3 Jason Dredge4 Sam Moss5 Malcolm Clark6 Dan ClarkFastest Lap: O'Reilly – 56.248s (93.18mph)Results - race two1 Jason Dredge – 11m14.638s2 Martin Jones +7.122s3 Malcolm Clark4 Sam Moss5 Dan Clark6 Adam UnderhillFastest Lap: O'Reilly – 1m00.198s (87.07mph)Round 3: Bishopscourt, 5 JuneChampionship positions (provisional) after Round 2 1 Martin Jones – 145points 2 Malcolm Clark – 1223 James O`Reilly – 974 Sam Moss – 924 Richard Dewart – 926 Ben Davis – 88
