Hankook MSA Welsh Rally Championship

Round 3: Plains Rally, 15 MayAndrew Burton drove his Peugeot Cosworth to victory in round three of the Hankook MSA Welsh Rally Championship, the Plains Rally.Burton stamped his authority on the event immediately by completing the nine-mile opener 21 seconds clear of Steve Perez. He then went quickest on a further three stages to extend his winning margin to almost half a minute at the finish.Also on form was David Wright, who set five top-three times to take a deserved third overall and first in class, while Roger Chillman Jnr took maximum championship points with fourth overall and first in GpN.

Further down the order, a tenth place finished left Paul Davy with a comfortable 17-point cushion at the top of the overall championship standings.
