Marcel Tiemann in medically induced coma

International GT Open: Phoenix driver Marcel Tiemann has been placed in a medically induced coma following his heavy accident during a round of the International GT Open at Imola, Italy. A craniocerebral trauma, a fractured cervical vertebra and broken ribs were diagnosed in the clinic in Bologna.

The doctors plan to wake the 36-year old German from the induced coma during the normal convalescing process after ten days.
