Canada F1GP returns to a sell-out

The first Canadian Formula One Grand Prix for two years sold out yesterday afternoon, helped by strong ticket sales in Europe.

“Local fans, obviously proud of their grand prix, were quick to respond when we announced ticket sales last December,” said event promoter Francois Dumontier of Octane Racing Group, as reported by Autosport.com.

“Then, over the course of the following months, we received huge fan response from abroad, which pleasantly surprised us. Our ticket sales in Europe were exceptional, and this is a testimony to the appeal of our event in traditional Formula 1 markets.”

Tickets for the 2011 race have gone on sale, and are available at this year's prices if bought before the end of July.
