Britpart MSA British Cross Country Championship

Round 3: June 12-13  Martin Gould took victory on round three of the Britpart MSA British Cross Country Championship by just two seconds from Stephen Hiatt. Tim Dilworth initially appeared to be heading for a third consecutive victory after beating his nearest rival by 28 seconds on the first run. However, on run three his Peugeot 206 STi suffered a blown engine that gifted the lead to reigning champion Richard Kershaw.Kershaw’s lead was also short-lived, with a shattered brake disc pitching his GSR 206 Evo off the road on run four. Gould then became embroiled in a fierce fight with Hiatt that left the pair on identical times ahead of the final run, from which Gould emerged victorious.Results1 Martin Gould (Mattserati) – 1h20m46s2 Stephen Hiatt (Warrior Indy) – 1h20m48s3 Dan Lofthouse (Lofthouse Proto LD4) – 1h25m53s4 Justin Birchall (Peugeot M206 Evo) – 1h28m36s5 Carl Duffield (AWD Proto 4x4) – 1h28m54s6 Karl Gudgeon (GSR Evo X) – 1h30m03s Round 4: July 31-August 1
