Rounds 7 & 8: Rowrah, June 19-20 Jake Dalton and Jake Dennis shared the honours at the StingrayRV MSA Junior British Kart Championship’s seventh and eighth rounds at Rowrah. Roy Johnson – nominated by the MSA to represent the UK in the inaugural CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy – topped timed qualifying but was pipped by Dennis in the first heat before winning the second. Dalton and Dennis scrapped hard in the first final, with the lead changing several times during the last few laps. Dalton ultimately triumphed, with Dennis, Johnson and Ben Barnicoat only a few tenths behind. The second final was red-flagged due to a massive pile up on the opening lap, after which all karts were returned to the paddock for repairs. Dalton and Johnson led the way at the restart but, with five minutes remaining, Dennis took a lead that he held to the flag. Results - Final 11 Jake Dalton (Tonykart/TM) 2 Jake Dennis (Topkart/IAME)3 Roy Johnson (Tonykart/TM) Results - Final 21 Dennis2 Dalton3 JohnsonRounds 9 & 10: Glan-Y-Gors, August 7-8Championship positions (provisional) after Round 8 1 Jake Dennis – 384 points 2 Ben Barnicoat – 3603 Jake Dalton – 3434 Roy Johnson – 3435 Charlie Eastwood – 3416 Sennan Fielding – 305
