(SPEEDWAY 1)THE line-up has been confirmed for the eagerly-awaited Premier League Riders' Championship. And there will be a new champion crowned on Sunday, September 26, at Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium as Ricky Ashworth has failed to qualify.Teenage ace Josh Auty will represent the home club after a fine run of form- but he will find it tough as the line-up has to be one of the strongest in recent years.Super 7even series co-ordinator David Hoggart said: "This is such an attractive line-up and I really cannot pick a winner. There's a mix of young, enthusiastic and up and coming riders alongside the likes of Joe Screen and Jason Lyons who have been there and seen it all."I'm sure Joe will be good value on a track he knows and likes. It's going to be one heck of a meeting and Sheffield Speedway are once again proud and honoured to be hosting the event on behalf of the British Speedway Promoters' Association."

LINE-UP:  Joe Screen (Glasgow), Ryan Fisher (Edinburgh), Linus Sundstrom (Rye House), Kenni Larsen (Newcastle), Jason Lyons (Birmingham), David Howe (Scunthorpe), Adrian Rymel (Berwick), Gary Havelock (Redcar), Josh Auty (Sheffield), Cory Gathercole (Somerset), Leigh Lanham (Newport), Tomas Topinka (King's Lynn), Rusty Harrison (Workington), Taylor Poole (Stoke), Travis McGowan (Glasgow), Rene Bach (Newcastle).(SPEEDWAY 2)WOLVERHAMPTON staged a remarkable recovery to snatch an Elite League point at Swindon - despite having two riders injured.Wolves were 18 points down with four heats to go, and had already lost star man Freddie Lindgren and Ty Proctor after a high-speed crash in Heat 5.An 8-1 in Heat 12 brought them back into contention and they then took 5-1s in the last two races, the latter coming when Robins skipper Leigh Adams was disqualified for bringing down Tai Woffinden. That left Swindon as 48-45 victors on the night, taking two points rather than three, and Wolves taking pride in adversity with less than a fortnight before they defend their title in the play-offs.Boss Peter Adams said: "It was a bad smash and both Freddie and Ty were in trouble, there was no way they could have continued, they were knocked out cold."It's one of those results where you feel really satisfied and hopefully there is nothing long term in terms of Freddie and Ty and their injuries."(FIXTURES) FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Lakeside v Swindon 8pm, Peterborough v Coventry 7.30 PREMIER LEAGUE: Scunthorpe v Glasgow 7.30, Somerset v Newport 7.30 NATIONAL TROPHY: Plymouth v Newport 7.30, Weymouth v Buxton 7.15 COCK O' THE NORTH 1st leg: Edinburgh v Berwick 7.30SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4:ELITE LEAGUE PAIRS: Ipswich 7.30PREMIER LEAGUE: Stoke v Edinburgh 7.30, Newport v Glasgow 7pm TWEED/TEES TROPHY 1st leg: Berwick v Redcar 7pm CUMBERLAND CLASSIC: Workington 7pmSUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5:WORLD UNDER-21 TEAM CUP FINAL: Rye House 2pm PREMIER LEAGUE: Glasgow v Edinburgh 4pm NATIONAL TROPHY: Buxton v Newport 3pm
