September 12th - Ernest Owen Car Trial, DerbySteve Courts had a daylong battle with Dave Oliver which was resolved when Oliver drove out of section on the last round, leaving Courts to win overall at the Ernest Owen Car Trial on Sunday. Duncan Stephens returned in his Nova to win his class and finish second overall ahead of Sam Williams who excelled and won the new car class having only completed in five trials previously. Nick Pollitt shared Stephens Nova to finish fifth ahead of BTRDA/MN Drive 09 winner John Fox. Nigel Weeks gradually extended his lead in his highly modified Hillman Imp.
