Good debut for Regalia at Vallelunga

Facu Regalia had a very good debut in the Formula 3 Italia with Team Prema Junior this Thursday, ending the day in the seventh position of the timesheets, something that impressed the Italian outfit.

The Spanish-Argentinean driver was in great shape in his first contact with the Italian series and with the Dallara F308 FPT Racing and was inside the top-three for most of the day. “In the morning I was third, half a second from my teammate, who knows these kind of cars much better. I used very well the first set of new tyres, but I think I could do better with the third one”, explain Facu Regalia who was very pleased, adding: “before the third set of tyres my engineer made some changes in the set-up in the car, which weren’t in the right direction. However, I’m happy with the result, because I was seventh among twenty-six drivers and during the day we kept improving”.

The eighteen years old driver remarked: “The team saluted me. They didn’t think I could go so well in my first contact with the car and just half a second from my more experienced teammate, something that I think it shows my potential”.

The next few weeks will be very interesting, as Facu Regalia will evaluate different options for the 2011 season.
