Round 6: International Rally Yorkshire, September 25Keith Cronin secured his second consecutive Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship crown on the International Rally Yorkshire, which was won by Gwyndaf Evans. Evans’s win came relatively easily, but only after Craig Breen and Gareth Roberts rolled their Ford Fiesta after having dropped time to a mechanical gremlin. At the finish on Scarborough seafront Evans said: “It was a difficult rally for everyone. It was so easy to make a mistake, but I’ll treasure this win with the others this year.”Meanwhile third place was enough for Cronin to take the title once more. “It has been a difficult event, but I’m not sure the Championship win has sunk in yet,” he said. “The grip levels on every stage were unpredictable, but we backed right off from our usual pace to make sure we got to the end.”Results1 Gwyndaf Evans / Claire Mole (Mitsubishi Evo X) 1h18m27.6s 2 Alastair Fisher / Rory Kennedy (Mitsubishi Evo X) 1h19m09.1s3 Keith Cronin / Barry McNulty (Subaru Impreza N15) 1h19m38.0s4 Daniel McKenna / Andrew Grennan (Mitsubishi Evolution IX) 1h20m54.9s5 Jason Pritchard / Robbie Durant (Subaru Impreza) 1h21m43.6s6 D Sigurðarson / Á Sigurdardottir (Mitsubishi Evo X) 1h22m12.7s
