COVENTRY star Edward Kennett is out of the second leg of the Elite League Grand Final after breaking his ankle in a crash on Thursday.Kennett came to grief in his second ride of the Cup-tie against Wolverhampton, a meeting which the Bees won on the night but lost on aggregate. His absence at Poole on Monday will be covered by the rider-replacement facility, with all riders except No.1 Krzysztof Kasprzak entitled to an extra outing.Bees boss Alun Rossiter said: "Edward's injury is a blow, but it's happened and we have to get on with it. It's the first bit of bad luck we've had during our fantastic run so we won't be whinging about it, and we'll still go to Poole in a positive frame of mind."I felt we threw away some silly points (against Wolves), and maybe there were a few minds on Monday as well. It's disappointing to go out of the Cup,but we go to Poole with eleven straight wins behind us, so we're still confident we can do it in the Grand Final."

FREDDIE Lindgren's dramatic Heat 15 overtaking move at Coventry booked Wolverhampton a place in the Knockout Cup semi-finals.The Midlands rivals looked to be heading for a replay when Chris Harris and Krzysztof Kasprzak held the last-race 5-1 required for the Bees to level the scores. But Lindgren rounded Kasprzak at the start of the last lap and then justheld on against the Pole's return challenge, being awarded second place by the narrowest of margins in a blanket finish.Wolves boss Peter Adams said: "It's a magnificent result. We've worked veryhard for it and I think we deserve it over two legs."I thought Freddie would make the start from gate three, but that's another unbelievable ride we've seen from him at Brandon and it was so important."
