RHL Weston Beach Race 2010

Plans are coming on nicely for the 2010 RHL Weston Beach Race, rider entries are now flooding in and the closing date for these are the end of September. David Knight will be joined by top British Motocross rider CCM mounted Tom Church. Tom has come back from a hand injury this year and finished the year on a high and is now keen and eager to get racing at the RHL Beach Race.

Factory CCM rider Church commented "I've done the Weston three times now, once in 1998 when I was 16, I finished 11th on a 125 and was ill for a week after! Then again in 2003 but the bike broke on the 1st lap.  The last time I did it was 2008, I crashed on the start and came from last to 5th, which was a tough race but a good feeling. I missed it last year as I was on honeymoon, but I'm looking forward to it in 2010, hopefully I can get a win. I got an injury to my hand at the start of this year, I rode with it for a while but in the end I needed an operation to fix it which put me out for three months but now it's 100%."

Tom Church, Jamie Lewis and Gary Johnson add to line-up

Newly crowned British Four Stroke Champion Jamie Lewis has also committed to racing in this year's RHL Beach Race. Jamie has been a dominant force in this year's four stroke Championship; he also won the Welsh Open Championship and finished second in the KWS Championship.

He will be racing the PAR Homes Honda at the RHL Beach Race and commented "I'm really looking forward to getting back to the Beach Race this year; after last year's event was cancelled I'm really eager to go out there and get a good result. This will be my sixth Weston and after the year I have had I'm really looking forward to racing and hopefully ending the year on a high note, I'm hoping the weather will be kind to us all this year!"

Top Isle of Man TT racer Gary Johnson will take part in this year's RHL Beach Race for the first time and the road racer is eager to enjoy the experience of the Festival. Saying "I've heard a lot of good things about the Weston and thought it was about time that I had a go at it. I've done a fair bit of off road over the years and it's definitely a challenge that I am very much looking forward too. I've heard it's a real test and I like the sound of that, I've no idea how I'm going to get on but we'll see. I know some of the other road boys are doing it so I'd like to be on par with them." Fellow road racers Chris Walker and Tommy Bridewell are also taking part in the 2010 RHL Weston Beach Race.
