EASTBOURNE have confirmed a Sunday staging for the first leg of their Knockout Cup semi-final against Wolverhampton. The Eagles will stage the fixture at Arlington on October 10 (5pm start)with the return at Monmore Green the following evening as part of a double-header also featuring Wolves v Swindon in the Elite League.Eastbourne co-promoter Mike Bellerby said: "I'm sure this is a match all our supporters will want to see and that's why we have switched to a weekend staging. "The 5pm start gives time for Wolves' GP riders (Freddie Lindgren and TaiWoffinden) to get to Arlington but also ensures parents should be able to get children to bed at a reasonable time before school the next day."

LAKESIDE have announced plans to complete their season with the London Riders Individual Championship on October 15.The event will be preceded by a 13-heat challenge between a team of young Hammers and the USA Touring Team - and promoter Jon Cook says the whole evening will allow the management the opportunity to look at possible options for next year's team.Cook said: "We wanted to go out with a bang and this is the best way to doi t. It's an exciting way to look at several riders and see the season out properly with the fans. "With Lee Richardson and Adam Shields now out for the season we are deliberately building a field of the same level so the racing should be entertaining and the winner unpredictable. "Fans of the much missed London teams, plus a few local to us, can see their club's body colours take to the track one more time and we will be keeping admission prices at normal rates as a thank you to our faithful supporters for sticking with us over the year."
