CHRIS Harris has secured the highest overall World Championship finish by aBritish rider since the turn of the century.Harris finished second in Saturday's Polish Grand Prix - his third runner-upposition in the space of four events - to end the season in sixth place overall.Swedish star Andreas Jonsson won the meeting whilst new World ChampionTomasz Gollob's involvement was curtailed due to a broken ankle sustained in a motocross accident.Jonsson is one of several riders facing an anxious wait before the line-upfor 2011 is confirmed, but Harris has no such concerns. He said: "It would have been nice to be No.1 on that podium, but I made a slight mistake going into turn three in the final. I just left too big a hole for Andreas."The night didn't start off good, but it finished well. I finished sixth inthe world and to be the best Brit since Mark (Loram) won it is very pleasing."

STOKE star Ben Wilson is likely to be out for the rest of the season after a heavy crash at Loomer Road on Saturday.Wilson was collected by Newport's Kyle Legault in his first race of themeeting and both riders were withdrawn, although both have since been released from hospital.Stoke boss Malcolm Vasey said: "Ben gave me a call last night and had a severe headache and felt very second hand. "He admitted that he probably would not ride again this season which isdisappointing as I really do not feel we have seen the best of Ben, and hewill be a big miss at Workington on Sunday night."
