BENEVOLENT Fund secretary Paul Ackroyd is hoping for a record attendance when Scunthorpe hosts the 2011 Bonanza event on March 12.Previous stagings of the charity meeting at Sheffield and Rye House have been hugely successful in raising funds for the assistance of injured riders.Ackroyd said: "Last year's event was excellent and I'd like to thank once again Len Silver for having it at Rye House. We had an attendance of 3,700 there which was a thousand up on the first event."I'd like to think we can break the attendance record at Scunthorpe and maybe top 4,000. We'll be working hard to bring the quality of riders who will attract the fans. I certainly intend that the line-up will be as good as if not better than at Rye House last year."

EDINBURGH promoter John Campbell admits the reigning champions could have to assess a number of options for filling the final place in their team. The Monarchs have been expected to complete their line-up with the return of William Lawson, but Campbell says that is not a foregone conclusion. He said: "I'm not sure about William's position and we may have to look at other avenues which are available to us."We haven't reached a critical stage yet and everybody wants to see him return, and if he does I'd like to get him back to the very best form he used to display around Armadale, and he is still young enough to manage that."
