WOLVERHAMPTON stars Freddie Lindgren and Peter Karlsson have pledged their support for Adam Skornicki's Testimonial meeting on March 27.The two Swedes are both regarded as masters of the Monmore Green circuit and will race for their former team-mate, who won the Elite League title with Wolves in 2002 and 2009.Skornicki said: "I am really proud that Freddie and PK will be riding in my meeting. I know them so well, I have been riding so many years with them, travelling and staying in hotels with them. I really appreciate that they are the first names to be confirmed."They are great riders especially at Wolves where they make wonderful moves. Freddie I think can still be World Champion, he is on the right path although you need a bit of luck."

SWINDON are seeking a date to run the Farewell meeting for popular Australian rider Steve Johnston.The event had been planned for Blunsdon on April 3 but that had to be dropped due to the Polish League's early start this year.Johnston called time on a successful career earlier this winter having spent the 2010 season racing for Birmingham in the Premier League.Swindon boss Ronnie Russell said: "Steve rode for us, and he has been a massive servant to the sport. He lives here in Swindon and has done for many years, so it seems a fitting place to actually end his speedway career."

BELLE Vue have confirmed they will enter a Colts team in the National League this season.They were accepted at last week's annual meeting of the league and then the Aces were given until Monday of this week to make a final decision pending rent talks with their Greyhound Racing Association landlords at Kirkmanshulme Lane.Operations Director Chris Morton said: "We are very grateful to the GRA because they were very helpful and supportive in what we are trying to do with the launch of a Colts team."We need to keep a tight grip on the costs of this team. We have been very keen to promote grassroots speedway, especially as we want to run a youth academy if and when we get the green light for a new stadium."

STOKE has been named as the venue for the 2011 National League Fours.The Loomer Road circuit has staged the event on several occasions in the past, the last time being in 2006 when the home side went on to take the title.Promoter Dave Tattum said: "I'm pleased we've been given another big meeting by the authorities and we are looking to put on an entertaining and slick meeting as we have on the previous occasions we've held the four team tournament final."We are centrally based here and easy to get to and have one of the fairest tracks in the sport so the competition will be wide open, with everyone in with a chance of winning the meeting."
