French rally driver Sébastien Ogier has agreed a personal endorsement deal with Tag Heuer.
The 2008 Junior Rally Championship winner - who is driving for the Citroen World Rally Championship (WRC) team in 2011 alongside seven-time champion Sébastien Loeb - will participate in the Swiss watchmaker's "150 Years of Motor Racing" campaign. Other drivers taking part include McLaren's current Formula One pairing - former world champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button - and the legendary French driver Alain Prost. Financial details of the deal were not released, but it is likely to be worth a low six-figure sum.Ogier said: "All the great heroes of motor-racing, from Juan Manuel Fangio to Ayrton Senna to Lewis Hamilton, have been part of the Tag Heuer legend. Now I'm thrilled to be part of it too, and I will do my best to merit the honour."Tag Heuer chief executive Jean-Christophe Babin added: "Signing Sébastien Ogier gives Tag Heuer solid representation in every major arena of motor sports. Adding the World Rally to our existing partnerships with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in F1, Audi Sport in Le Mans and endurance racing, the Automobile Club of Monaco, and our longstanding role as official watch of the Indy 500, truly makes us the "Masters of Speed" in the watch industry."Ogier, who finished fourth in last weekend's season-opening rally of Sweden, is expected to be among the contenders for the WRC title in 2011 after his fourth place in last year's championship..
