WOLVERHAMPTON star Fredrik Lindgren proved to be the class of the field in Mark Loram's Farewell meeting at Poole.Lindgren stormed from the tapes to win the Final against Australian trio Davey Watt, Jason Crump and Chris Holder, as Loram brought the curtain downon a glittering career with a six-lap demonstration in front of an appreciative large crowd.Loram said: "I just didn't want to stop when I was out there. A couple of seasons ago after my injury I got back on the bike and really struggled because my leg wasn't right. But it just felt so much more comfortable out there tonight, and last week when I was practicing.
"Unfortunately I am the wrong side of 40 now and I just don't feel as though the body could handle the rigours of regular racing, but I really had the buzz about me tonight."

GLASGOW'S start to the season at Ashfield has been put back until the middle of April with the Tigers postponing their next two home matches. This Sunday's clash with Newport and next week's match against Workington are both off with the club needing to ensure that all areas of their new track are fit for racing.Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: "The problem revolves around an area from the middle of the back straight right round to the crown of the bend between turns three and four. Certain sections in that are exceptionally soft and the real danger is that they collapse during racing.
"We can't have that, it would be far too dangerous, so having had a meeting with experts in their field, they have told us the correct remedy required to ensure that problem is eradicated."

EASTBOURNE have drafted young Australian Taylor Poole into their line-up to face Belle Vue at Arlington on Saturday.Poole, who is declared as the Eagles' official No.8, will make his debut for the club because Polish rider Dawid Lampart has had his start permission to ride in the UK withdrawn.Eagles co-promoter Mike Bellerby said: "We received the notification at lunchtime on Wednesday via the BSPA that his start permission had been withdrawn with immediate effect.
