RYE House produced a storming finish to record their first away win of the season with a 53-37 success at Newport.Former Wasps star Jordan Frampton was the Rockets hero with a 15-point maximum and reserve Nelson added 13+1 with the visitors taking 5-1s in each of the last four races.Rye House boss John Sampford said: "The four match points tonight really make up for our narrow defeat at Somerset and missing out on a point in the last race at Newcastle."Jordan was obviously the star of the show, but Nelson, Jason (Doyle) and Chris (Neath) were not far behind, and everyone did their best to chip in with points in a real team effort. Our season really starts here."
(SPEEDWAY 4) GLASGOW launch their home season on Sunday after extensive track work during the winter with a home clash against Berwick. The Tigers have invested heavily in making improvements to improve the quality of racing at Ashfield, and the circuit is now suitable for the Scottish side to get back into action.Skipper Joe Screen said: "To be honest we have all probably become a little frustrated as we waited for everything to be ready and although practice did not reveal as much as we had hoped, I think there was enough there to get us excited."I think we have the kind of team which should enjoy the circuit. The young ones were attacking it straight from the off while us more experienced ones were sizing things up but once we get our racing heads on then we will all be giving it plenty of throttle."
