PETERBOROUGH produced another storming comeback to overcome table-topping Eastbourne at the Showground. For the second time in two outings at home, the Panthers recovered from eight points down and on this occasion they took all three points with their 52-38 win headlined by an impressive 11 (paid 12) score from reserve Norbert Kosciuch.Joint-boss Wayne Swales said: "I know it's a bit of a cliché but it was a real team effort tonight."Every rider threw in at least one good ride and we had to battle again. We struggled early on for reasons we have talked about privately but we got on with it and we pulled it out of the bag again."

POOLE promoter Matt Ford admitted he was relieved to take a point thanks to a last-heat 5-1 in the Pirates' 49-43 defeat at Swindon. The Robins gained a much-needed first win of the season but were frustrated by the events of Heat 15 when both Scott Nicholls and Nicolai Klindt were disqualified.Ford said: "It wasn't our best performance of the season but I am happy to take a point in the end as midway through the meeting it looked as though we could have been heading towards a much heavier defeat."Swindon's new Danes certainly came to the fore for them and we had a couple of falls with Davey (Watt) and Darcy (Ward) that proved costly, but Darcy was again awesome tonight."

UNLUCKY Adam Roynon is set for another spell on the sidelines after breaking a femur in Redcar's defeat at Ipswich on Thursday.Roynon, whose career has been dogged by misfortune, is set to undergo surgery and the news is also a major blow to his National League club Dudley, where has rapidly become a crowd favourite.Heathens chairman Nigel Pearson said: "As soon as I heard about the crash I called my friend and colleague Chris Louis at Ipswich."He confirmed Adam was in a lot of pain and later in the evening I was told he'd suffered a broken femur and needs an operation. Our thoughts are with Adam who is already a Heathens hero after only five matches for us."
