Van Der Drift Shows his True Colours

Atech Reid GP today confirm that the charismatic New Zealand driver Chris Van Der Drift will be driving the Kiwi dubbed Black Beauty Superleague Formula car at the next round of the series at Zolder.Chris, who survived a horrific crash at Brands Hatch back in 2010 whilst leading the Championship is overwhelmed to be representing his home country New Zealand.'It is a fabulous feeling to be representing my home country.' Chris stated. 'It is a little bit surreal after my crash to be back in the car, but I am confident that I will be able to step back into Black Beauty and get her to the front of the grid. The Atech Reid GP team are very professional and have had a good start to the season so bring it on.'Chris' injuries saw him sit out the second half of the Superlegaue Formula championship in 2010 but team owner Anthony Reid is positive that Chris will be back at the front of the grid in no time.'Chris is a very popular driver in the Superleague Formula championship and we are happy to have him representing New Zealand. He is feeling fit and ready and he is in a positive mind set. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with his pace.'The championship series continues in Belgium at Zolder on July 16-17.
