The “Classics” launch an assault on the Mont Ventoux

This week-end, 25 and 26 June the third edition of the Ronde du Ventoux Optic 2ooo will be held. A biennial event which takes back its rightful place in the major cultural site of the Vaucluse.

In atypical surroundings, the 80 entered cars will set off for a two day rally which will resume the standards of the famous hill-climb race. With a 50 kilometre loop and five climbs to the summit of the Provence Giant, the programme promises to be rich in both emotions and competition.

Friday 24 June, the competitors will meet in the Parc Fermé at Bédoin for the verifications and scrutineering. A convivial moment which will allow the 80 crews to become acquainted or re-acquainted with participants from over 10 countries.

On Saturday 25 June, drivers and co-pilots will leave at 10 am to tackle the Mont Chauve for the first of the day’s three climbs.

Sunday 26 June will be the theatre of two compete loops with the highest point at the top of the Mont Ventoux. The week-end will certainly leave the Gentleman Drivers excellent memories.
