Rounds 11 & 12: Kirkistown, 2-3 July
Stewart Robb Snr scored two wins in two days at Kirkistown, and picked up vital bonus points for breaking the course record in all four of his Top 12 Runs.
Colin Calder managed two second places but his chances of overhauling Robb in the championship battle have receded. Colin Birkbeck and Steve Miles were also in fine form; the two-litre challengers swapped places throughout the weekend.
After Simon Bainbridge crashed out on Saturday Jim Belt stepped up to the plate on Sunday, when he re-wrote the Sports Libre record to amass nine points – his best result to date.
