Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship

Round 4: Maasmechelen, 10 July

Andy Scott was the highest placed British driver at Maasmechelen in Belgium, where local star Jochen Coox won in his Skoda Fabia Supercar.

Like the opening round of the British series at Lydden in March, the event was a qualifying round of both the British and Belgian championships, and the six-car A final grid was split equally between British and Benelux competitors.

Scott made a great start to the main event and chased Coox until being forced to slow by power-steering failure. “I tried to hold on but my arms are shot; it’s not a good place to be without power steering,” said Scott, who ultimately finished third.
