IPSWICH youngster Lasse Bjerre has been released from hospital with no broken bones following his horrifying crash at Leicester on Saturday. It was reported shortly after the accident that the teenage Dane had a suspected broken femur, but x-rays confirmed the damage was limited to severe bruising.Bjerre will miss the return fixture against the Lions at Foxhall on Thursday but is targeting the KO Cup tie with Newport on July 21 for his comeback.Manager Pete Simmons said: “I think Lasse being so small helped, his body absorbed the impact, he’s not all arms and legs. We ended up with just a draw and two points, but I’d rather have that than four points and Lasse out for the season.”

BELLE Vue and Dudley are both hoping to regain ground on new National League leaders Hackney during a busy week of action in the sport’s third tier. The two sides clash at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Wednesday, one day after Dudley’s home meeting against Newport – whilst the Hawks have a home match against Buxton at Lakeside on Friday. King’s Lynn also meet the Isle of Wight on Wednesday.Belle Vue boss Graeme Goodwin is challenging his side to gain revenge for recent home and away defeats against Dudley in the Knockout Cup.He said: “We put too much pressure on ourselves last time and that caused us to throw away silly points with falls and mistakes. This time we want to get back to our usual style of riding with a smile and enjoying our racing, while still giving 100 per cent. This is going to be our biggest match of the season.”(FIXTURES) TUESDAY JULY 12:NATIONAL LEAGUE: Dudley v Newport 7.30
