LAKESIDE have announced the signing of Swedish Under-21 international Kim Nilsson, who will join the Hammers for their home clash with Poole on July 22.The move for Nilsson, who has previously ridden for Newport in the Premier League, is set to become a full transfer by the end of the season, and his arrival will see the Hammers reduce their doubling-up positions to one.Lakeside co-promoter Jon Cook said: “Our hope is that Kim gives our season the kick it needs whilst at the same time we are bringing into the Club another young rider for the future. “Who makes way is likely to be determined by availability as the Premier League fixture list has proved problematic so far and is likely to continue when it’s redrawn for August and September.”

SCUNTHORPE have moved to bring former skipper Richard Hall back to the Eddie Wright Raceway as a replacement for the injured Viktor Bergstrom.Hall, who has been riding for Leicester this season, will not be available for the Scorpions at Sheffield on Thursday but will make his first appearance in their home fixture against Newport the following evening.Boss Richard Hollingsworth said: “Richard is a former track record holder at the Eddie Wright Raceway and has always enjoyed riding here. He’s having his best season in the Premier League so it is a surprise he is available and full credit to Rob (Godfrey) for signing him.”“I know there is a possibility of Carl Wilkinson and Viktor Bergström being back soon but I’m not sure I’d put either at more than 50/50, and what happens if they’re not fit soon and we let Richard go to someone else?”(FIXTURES) WEDNESDAY JULY 13:NATIONAL LEAGUE: Belle Vue v Dudley 8pm, King’s Lynn v Isle of Wight 7.30
