It’s still Lazarus on top in Donington, as the Italian team topped the sheets again in the second Free Practice session. If in the first session Fabrizio Crestani was the quickest, this time the team boasted a one-two, with Fabio Onidi emerging as the quickest with 1’17”206, a laptime that left his team mate 2 tenths adrift. Behind them was Samuele Buttarelli, who confirmed the impressive morning shape with a 1’17”861 that was enough to keep at bay the SuperNova pair.

The british team did a very good job bringing Jon Lancaster to P4 and Luca Filippi to P5, with 1’17”871 and 1’17”890 respectively: considering that this laptimes were obtained without using new tyres, the pair will be among the favourites for the pole-position battle.

Adam Carroll was 6th with Campos Racing: the brit seems to have already found a good feeling with the Lola-Zytek, but he feels that he still has a lot of room for improvement, something that he will try to do in Qualifying. Behind him was the other rookie, Daniel de Jong: the Dutchman is not pushing to the limit also, because he is at his first time on both and the Donington circuit, so he is trying a step by step approach. Despite this he was already very quick, and his ready to up his game in Qualifying. Good improvements also for Adrian Campos, who finished 8th with 1’18”454, ahead of Giovanni Venturini and Bruno Mendez. Rio Haryanto was just out of the top 10 but the Indonesian driver didn’t use any fresh rubber, so he’s confident for Qualifying. Closing the timesheet were Pasquale Di Sabatino, hampered by some fuel pick-up issues, Giuseppe Cipriani, Francesco Dracone and Kevin Ceccon.
