The Dane aims at repeating his 2008 success with a Chevy

Michel Nykjær will participate in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) at Salzburgring next week-end (23-24 July) at the wheel of a Chevrolet Cruze prepared by Chevrolet Motorsport Sweden.

The 31-year-old Dane is a double ETCC Champion, having won the continental title in 2007 and 2008, when he was at the wheel of a Chevrolet Lacetti.

This year, he will be driving the Cruze normally raced by Rickard Rydell in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship.

The ETCC will take place at Salzburgring in Austria and will consist of two heats of 12 laps each.
