V8 Utes The Supercar-supporting V8 Utes series rocks up at Townsville for a triple header event. Expect reigning champion Grant Johnson to have his hands full trying to fend off the challenge of Chris Pither, who is mounting a serious title bid following his success in the New Zealand-based Utes series last year. -     Saturday, 13 August: 4.50pm ADAC GT MastersThe popular German GT Series travels to re-developed Austrian venue Red Bull Ring with Andreas Wirth and Christiaan Frankenhout looking to repeat the victory they took last time out at the Nürburgring.  -     Wednesday 17 August: From 9.00pm

 Airpower 2011 Austria's most spectacular open-air event returns, prompting over a quarter of a million spectators to crane their necks until they ache. There are displays from a host of aircraft, the Breitling Jet Team and the Red Bull Skydive effort (which rather makes a mockery of the company's 'Gives You Wings' slogan) all leading up to the main event: an aerobatic display from the Frecce Tricolori.  -     Sunday, 14 August: 9.30pm

 Ocean Grand PrixDefying the conventional wisdom that you need a solid surface to do any racing the Ocean Grand Prix takes place on water, with mean looking powerboats going hull-to-hull in pursuit of glory. Dutch venue Der Helder is the latest destination for these vinylester resin aquatic racers. -     Friday, 19 August: 5.50pm
