Round 4: Radnor Forest, 30/31 July 2011
Ian Rochelle took victory in round four of the Britpart MSA British Cross Country Championship after a weekend-long battle with round three winner Dan Lofthouse. Lofthouse made a good start to the event, setting fastest time on the first run in his Freelander.
Rochelle was second in his Millington with Richard Kershaw in third. Lofthouse built up a healthy lead but a puncture on the final run of Saturday meant that he was only one second ahead of Rochelle going into day two.
Seconds were swapped between the two leading crews throughout day two but it was Rochelle who emerged victorious after taking the lead on the final run. Gordon Monaghan was third in his Monaghan RS with Martin Cox taking his new GSR to fourth. Bob Seaman continued his good season with fifth in his Milner.
