Brands Hatch GP - Round 8
The Gimoto riders once again had a very successful weekend at round eight of the British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch. Friday was used as a test day for most on the short Indy Circuit but Saturday and Sunday the full GP track was used.
After the torrential weather conditions at Oulton Park things were slightly better at Brands Hatch despite the occasional downpour just before the first Superbike race on Saturday and second Supersport race on Sunday, this sent the teams into a mad frenzy on tyre choice. Gary Mason choose exceptionally well in the first Superbike race and was able to take a stunning third place podium position.
Ben Wilson secured another two second places and currently has a 43 point lead in the British Supersport Championship.
Gimoto rider Connor Behan had the ride of the day in the National Superstock 600 race, in a huge field he was on fire all weekend and was eager to take his first ever Stock 600 race win, with improving results all year the youngster secured a fine win in the 14-lap race winning by a fantastic 2.3 seconds.
Wayne Ryan in the 125 Championship once again had another stunning ride finishing second, the race was action packed and as always closely fought, only 0.4 separated the top three riders as they crossed the line. Lee Jackson gained 4th place in the Cup and 5th in the overall race another great ride and as the season has progressed the Gimoto riders are all beginning to achieve some fantastic results.
