Pinkney was just over 10 seconds adrift of championship leader Steven Ferguson after the ninth of 12 tests. However, Ferguson lost almost six seconds with an error on Test 10, and had no answer to Pinkney’s pace over the final two runs.Reigning champion Alastair Moffatt's title hopes ended on Test 2 when he suffered a driveshaft failure and picked up a maximum penalty.
