Rounds 23 & 24: Craigantlet, 6 August
Roger Moran secured a double run-off victory for the second time this season, while his son Scott, the championship leader, was affected by short bursts of rain at the end of each of his runs.
Scott nevertheless scored 14 points to maintain his healthy lead in the title race, while his father’s 20-point score put more distance between himself and Trevor Willis, who holds third place in the overall standings.
Also in the mix at Craignantlet with third and second place finishes was Wallace Menzies, whose wife Nicola scored a point; it was the first time since the 1960s that a married couple has competed in a run-off.
