Round 6: Cleaner Oil and Gas Speyside Stages, 6 August

David Bogie and Kevin Rae sealed the 2011 MSA Scottish Rally Championship title with victory on the Cleaner Oil and Gas Speyside Stages.

The pair finished more than half a minute clear of the field to take the crown with two rounds to spare. “It's just awesome and hard to sum up really,” said Bogie. “We just came here to win the rally, but to come away with a win and take the championship is going to take time to sink in.”

Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton took second place, ahead of Mike Faulkner and Louise Sutherland. Throburn and Faulkner are now tied for second place in the championship standings ahead of September’s ProTune Remapping Merrick Stages.
