(SPEEDWAY 1)EASTBOURNE secured their place in the Elite League play-offs by taking the maximum six points from their Saturday night double-header at Arlington.The Eagles put in a powerful performance to defeat Wolverhampton 63-29, and that was followed by a 53-40 win over Coventry with Bjarne Pedersen and Joonas Kylmakorpi securing three points from the match with a 5-1 in the last race.Skipper Cameron Woodward enjoyed a bumper points return from a hectic schedule at reserve, as he totalled 28 (paid 32) from thirteen rides throughout the night.Team boss Trevor Geer said: "We started the season well and the boys have got better as the year has gone on. I hope this will reassure our fans."(SPEEDWAY 4)JASON Garrity collected his second major honour at Rye House this season by clinching the National League Riders' Championship.Garrity had won the British Under-19 title at the same venue in July, and a fine night for his parent club Belle Vue was completed with Kyle Howarth finishing second. Newport's Jay Herne defeated Robert Branford of Buxton in a run-off for third.Belle Vue Operations Director Chris Morton said: "This is an absolutely brilliant result for Belle Vue. I had a feeling that Jason could win when I watched him in the home victory over Hackney last Wednesday."He looked very sharp and determined.
