Prima Racing reveals Rotax and Honda Cadet expansion

Title-winning British and European karting outfit Prima Racing has expanded to add Rotax and Honda Cadet divisions to its ultra-successful ranks – with a wealth of experience set to ensure that the trophies keep on coming thick-and-fast.

Prima has already established itself as a regular front-runner on both home turf and the international stage in the Super Cadet/Mini 60, Comer Cadet and WTP Cadet classes, but the launch of Rotax and Honda Cadet arms will add two further strings to its ever-strengthening bow.

The Honda Cadet element will be overseen by Rob Monger – father of 2010 and 2011 Super 1 Champion Billy Monger – whilst the Rotax operation is set to be run by Ian Hawkins.

“Rob will be spearheading the Honda Cadet side of things, along with myself and Paul Munn,” revealed Prima Racing team manager Jamie Croxford. “Rob last year mechaniched his son Billy to the Honda Cadet British Championship, with six victories and four further podium finishes from 12 rounds.

“In charge of the Rotax division, Ian ran his own very successful Rotax team a few years ago, finishing second in the British Championship in the Junior Rotax class for two consecutive seasons. Add into the mix my experience, too, from previously working in Mini Max and Senior Rotax with RL Racing, and between us, we have a lot of knowledge in that area.

“Both new departments will share the same work ethic as the rest of the Prima Racing team – which is to settle for nothing but the best.”

Places are available at Prima Racing at both Honda Cadet and Rotax level for 2012, as well as in the Cadet and Super Cadet classes. For more information, please contact Jamie Croxford on 07730 019089 or at: jamie.primaracing@yahoo.co.uk
