Round 9: Cheviot Keith Knox Stages, 23 October

New champions Damian Cole and James Morgan ended their season on a high by winning the final round of the championship, the Cheviot Keith Knox Stages.

Steve Simpson and co-driver Patrick Walsh led initially in their Subaru Impreza but spun with just a few stages to go, allowing Cole to move ahead and ultimately claim the spoils.

Simpson and Walsh took second ahead of John Indri and Dave Engwell, who were the first two-wheel-drive crew home. Meanwhile championship runner-up Simon Mauger and co-driver Brian Cammack retired after sliding into a ditch.
