(SPEEDWAY 1)AUSTRALIAN sensation Cameron Heeps has been named as the first confirmed starter for Ipswich's 2012 Premier League line-up.The 16-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut season at National League level when he rode for Mildenhall, where Ipswich Director of Speedway Chris Louis is also part of the management set-up.Louis said: "I am very excited at the prospect of seeing Cameron in action for Ipswich next year especially after the way he finished fourth in the 16 Lap Classic at Foxhall last Thursday night. "It's probably unusual to announce one of the reserves as your first signing, but we believe Cameron will play an important part in the future of Ipswich Speedway and this is another step forward in our long-term plan to re-build the club."(SPEEDWAY 2)KEVIN Doolan wrapped up a successful month of October by taking victory in Rye House's season-ending Ace of Herts individual event.Ipswich skipper Doolan had previously been part of a Witches victory in the Premier League at Hoddesdon and also helped the club to take the Premier League Fours title last weekend.Doolan, who was joined on the rostrum by Jordan Frampton and Olly Allen, said: "It's just a shame that the season is finishing now. I've had a bit of a dip in my form this year, and I wasn't really happy mid-way through the season."Fortunately, everyone at Ipswich rallied around me and really got me going again, and I've put in some great meetings in the last month. This is just the icing on the cake."(FIXTURES)MONDAY OCTOBER 31:PREMIER LEAGUE: Workington v Plymouth 7pm, Workington v Plymouth (follows previous fixture)
