Russo out front in battle for Superstock grid places

Riccardo Russo (Team Italia FMI Yamaha) will start from pole in the first UEM European Superstock 600 Championship race of the year after outpacing his many rivals with the best time of the second qualifying session.

Michael van der Mark (EAB Ten Kate Honda Junior Team) was second fastest, while Nacho Calero Perez (Team Trasimeno Yamaha) could not go faster today than on day one and now lines up third for this afternoon's 11-lap race.

Nicola Jr. Morrentino (Elle 2 Promotion) was best of the wild-card riders, in fourth. Russo's team-mate Luca Vitali took his Yamaha to fifth in a field of 38 riders.
