DEFENDING Champion Scott Nicholls will be going for an historic seventh national title when he competes in the British Final at Wolverhampton on Monday.Nicholls regained the crown in dramatic circumstances last year and has so far won each of his titles at different venues, including Monmore Green in 2011but he says any additional pressure comes from within.Nicholls said: I put pressure on myself to win, and whether I was coming in as defending Champion or not Id still have the same pressure on my shoulders. There will be pressure to retain it, but thats what Im there forI want to win it, and thats the important thing for me. Being British Champion means a lot to me and Id very much like to win it for a seventh time and go into the record books.

WOLVERHAMPTON have recalled Nicolai Klindt and Pontus Aspgren with both riders now fit to return from injury.Klindts replacement Robert Miskowiak has been released with Aspgren coming back for doubling-up duo Matej Kus and Kenny Ingalls.Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: We are loyal to our riders and we did say to Nic and Pontus that they would return once they were ready. And whilst we are pleased to welcome both riders back, it is sad to see the three riders leave.Nic is desperate to get back after three months out and he's keen to make up for lost time. And it will be good to see Pontus have the opportunity to ride at reserve which is where he has needed to be from the start of the season.
