MICHAEL Jepsen Jensen believes on current form he should improve his record at Coventry in round three of the World Under-21 Final on Friday.Jepsen Jensen, who gave a stunning performance for Peterborough against Swindon earlier in the week, is just two points behind series leader Maciej Janowski as the competition reaches Brandon.He said: I have only been to Coventry twice and didnt do too great, I havent felt that the bike pushed me too much. With a bit of practice, though, it should be alright.I have had some engines done and I have a good team around me, so well see how it goesit should be good. Its been a good season, but it is nowhere near finished yet.(SPEEDWAY 2)
INJURY-HIT Berwick will have two new faces in their side for this weekends fixtures at Somerset and at home to Leicester.The Bandits have replaced injured skipper Lee Complin with 23-year-old Dane Nicki Barrett, whilst Micky Dyer comes in at reserve for Robert Branford. The Bandits will also be booking guests for broken shoulder victim Ricky Ashworth, with Stuart Robson stepping in on Friday.Manager Ian Rae said: Nicki will assume a full 7.00 average, so it might be hard for him at first in his introduction to British league racing, but hes very keen, and well-equipped. Obviously, we have a long-term interest in this signing, as he will become an asset of the Bandits after a certain number of matches in our colours.I watched Micky getting paid for 21-points against us within 24 hours back in May, and thought then he was one to look out for. Im very happy that weve had the chance to snap him up for the rest of the season.

RYE House have announced the signing of Simon Lambert as they continue their team re-building following the recent acquisition of Kasper Lykke.Lambert, who started the season with Leicester in the Premier League, replaces Ritchie Hawkins, although Rockets boss Len Silver admits he has some sympathy for the released rider.Silver said: I am very sorry to see Ritchie leave the club. He has been an excellent member of the team with a great rapport with his fellow riders. His loss of form has been a source of worry both to himself and to team manager John Sampford and myself. He of course leaves with our thanks and best wishes.Rye House have also signed 18-year-old Connor Colesson of former rider Michaelto replace Tom Braddock in their National League team.(SPEEDWAY 4)
SIMON Steads Testimonial takes place at Swindon on Thursday with an all-star line-up competing in the Blunsdon event.Australian stars Chris Holder and Darcy Ward make a quick return after their recent visit with Poole, and the meeting also features former GP front-runner Ryan Sullivan and ex-Robins favourite Matej Zagar.Stead said: Im chuffed Matejs coming over because its not easy for the guys who are not based in England, so its a big effort for him.I am fortunate to have some good people around me and I think were making the best out of what weve got. Ive been involved with some good clubs, promoters and rode alongside some very good riders.

MATTHEW Wethers celebrates ten years at Edinburgh with his Testimonial meeting on Friday.The Monarchs skipper is the only rider to win three league titles with the club, and his field is headed by Belle Vue No.1 and former Edinburgh man Rory Schlein, and current Monarchs top rider Craig Cook.Edinburgh chairman Alex Harkess said: Matthews ten years happen to be the best in the clubs long history, the three league championships being the highlights, and in all of which Matthew has played a major part.Co-promoter John Campbell added: A truly loyal servant to the Monarchs for ten glorious years, a triple league champion, a massive points scorer for our cause and an all round good guy.
