EASTBOURNE boss Trevor Geer believes his side are coming into form at the right timeafter a convincing 61-32 home win over Wolverhampton.Lukas Dryml scored a paid maximum with Lewis Bridger collecting eight points from three rides on his return from injury, and Geer knows forthcoming away matches will determine the Eagles play-off prospects. He said: It has proved a difficult week with all the injuries and finding suitable guests. We got a good point at Lakeside last night (Friday) and another valuable three-points here this evening so I think we can count that as good weekend for the Eagles. With only one match remaining here at Arlington, we know that we will need to pick up more points on the road if we are to progress to the play-offs, but on the evidence of the last two performances I believe we are capable of doing just that.
(SPEEDWAY 2)BERWICK suffered yet another injury setback in their 43-49 home defeat against Leicester.Recent signing Micky Dyer, on his home debut, won his first ride of the meeting but crashed out in Heat 12, suffering a serious gash to his right thigh which may require surgery.Bandits boss Ian Rae said: In eight meetings weve now had eight major injuries which have resulted in hospitalisation with young Micky the latest on that jinxed list. Whilst being cheery enough, he is resigned to the fact hes going to be out of action for a while.I think this has to be officially the worst season even for injuries to our team, and that goes back to 1968 when we opened our doors for the first time.

RYE House collected all three points from their home clash with Plymouth with stand-in skipper Jason Bunyan carding his highest score of the season.Bunyan was paid for 17-points from seven rides, with Anders Mellgren adding 15 and guest Jason Doyle 13 in the Rockets 52-41 win.Promoter Len Silver said: With a depleted side and with our new boy (Kasper Lykke) still finding his way any win is a really positive result. I must offer a big thank-you to Jason Doyle for coming in as a guest, and also to all our other big hitters tonight, with Anders nearly giving Ben Barker the shock of his life. Ben (Morley) also deserves special praise, while Jason Garrity unfortunately endured clutch problems all night, which left him way down on points.
